1. HOW TO PROPERLY WALK YOUR DOGS.

Dog walking is beyond putting a leash on your dog and start walking.

These images show how to properly walk your dogs, your dogs should always walk beside you or a little behind you.

Your dog is your partner, enjoy each other’s company
Naturally, dogs are excited when they are about to head out for a walk.
2. HOW NOT TO WALK YOUR DOGS.

Having your dog walk in front of you is a bad way of 'walking dog' Analyze it physically? Who is walking who? Who is in front? Who is the leader and who is the follower?

This simply mean your dog is walking you, it shows he is the leader.
Dog walking in front of you cannot be easily corrected if he's going out of reach, or trying to chew on things while walking. This is dangerous for your dogs.
This is one of the reasons your dog don't respect you. He is walking in front and you are walking behind (calling your dog doesn’t mean he respects you)

Leaders are always in front, followers are always behind. Your dog sees himself as the alpha.
Some dogs are scared of the outside world. Note their body signs and behavior when walking.

SIGNS TO WATCHOUT FOR: They walk in a zigzag manner, looking back at interval, making hunch back and likely have their tail tucked between their legs.
All these doesn’t necessarily mean your dog is scared, it means he is unsure of the outside world. He is not sure of how to react around the 'fenceless kennel'.

No matter how big the size of your compound is, it's just a very big kennel to your dog.
This is why dogs that are not well exposed don't know how to act outside the four walls of their kennel.
3. DOG PULLING YOU WHILE WALKING

This is one of the major problem in walking your dogs.

Dogs pull while walking for two major reasons.

1. Pent up energy: If your dog has so much pent up energy, which is usually from lack of exercise. Your dog will result to pulling.
He wants to drain his energy completely, so they result to pulling. It is advisable to run with that dog before walking.

2. Chocking: Holding the leash with so much energy will also result in your dogs pulling you. Hold the leash with no energy and enjoy your walk.
Be assertive while walking your dog, and not look weak or walk aimlessly.
4. THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE WALKING YOUR DOGS.

PREPARATION: Get yourself equiped with the necessary items (good leash, water bottle, and good walking shoes)

Before taking a walk with your dog, there should be aim and objective. Where to go and how long to walk for
It helps to focus and keep the mind together. Instead of wandering, you have a goal.
KNOW YOUR DOG: A dog with high energy level should walk for a longer time.

If you have small dog breed, a little amount of walk should do the magic.
WEATHER: It is important to carefully choose when to walk your dog.
Walking your dog under hot weather should not be considered. It is bad for you and your dog, as you both can react to the harsh weather.

However some breed are perfect walking in cold weather. Know your breed.
ROUTE: Choosing your route carefully is one thing that should be put into consideration.

Not being conscious about route might have you walking where dangerous broken items are, such as: broken bottles, sharp sticks, nails and some dangerous item.
You do not want to get back home with an injured dog, for not taking the necessary precautions.
It is very paramount for your dogs to understand the ‘Recall’ word also known as ‘Come’. Your leash might drop while walking.

‘Come’ is the best way to avoid dangers while walking your dogs.
