From a millennial: https://twitter.com/QuickTake/status/1314460635917357057
As an Asian millennial, I went through the Asian Financial Crisis (1997 to after effects circa 2003) the Great Recession, discovering that an undergraduate degree is the equivalent of a boomer high school diploma, and now COVID-19. Good luck to Zoomers. It doesn't get better.
Boomers might like to think that millennials are still angsty undergraduate sophomores, and while we'd like to be that, we're not. Unless we expect to live up to be 120 years old, some of us are quickly reaching middle age status. https://twitter.com/Trinhnomics/status/1273267348800069633?s=19
And our dreams of economic stability, having health insurance, getting married and starting families of our own, preparing retirement plans, etc, were ruined. And now that we're on the cusp of becoming middle age and still relying on gigs, we're going to need ALL the Prozac.
Zoomers, things are going to be exponentially worse for you because not only was COVID-19 your baptism by global pandemic, but a lot of you will also have to contend with global climate change, which is going to make COVID-19 look like a walk in the park.
So if you hate your elders, trust us millennials when we say that we understand. You'll most likely hate us, too. But we get it.

This is usually when people dangle some kind of hopeful solution. I'm not going to do that because there is none. Things will get worse. Good luck.
