Behind the Green Door (1972) was one of the first American pornographic films to feature interracial sex between a white actress, Marilyn Chambers (1952-2009), & a black actor, Johnnie Keyes (1940-2018).

But what made the film notorious was prior to the movie's release Chambers modelled for Ivory Soap & was known as the wholesome "Ivory soap girl". The brand's slogan was "99 and 44/100% pure". All Ivory Snow products & advertising featuring her were immediately recalled

The movie producers quickly capitalised on the scandal by advertising Chambers as "99 and 44/100's % impure". Procter & Gamble subsequently required thorough screening of the background of any female model employed for print advertisements or commercials.
