My PlusNet timeline; a thread. Some vagueness as I can't see the tickets anymore.

October 2011: I join PlusNet, estimated line speed 26Mbps
December 2011: Line speed according to PlusNet - 37Mbps
March 2012: I have an issue which takes about 2 weeks to resolve.

Sept 2012: I upgrade my service, estimated speed: 40Mbps
August 2013: I have a wi-fi issue/broadband connection dropping issue which continues through to November.
October 2015: I report another wi-fi issue.

2/?
January 2016: I renew my contract, estimated speed: 30Mbps
June 2017: I upgrade my service, estimated speed: 44-66Mbps
June 2017: An engineer has to come out to check why I'm only getting 8Mbps. This lasts 5 weeks until I get a third-party router.
3/?
March 2018: Another connection issue.
July 2018: I have a phone issue.
December 2018: I have an unstable connection.
March 2020: I have speed issues which last one month.

Then we reach 12th August AKA Lightning Kills Everything.

12th August 2020: A lightning strike nearby causes a power surge to kill my router and phone line.
19th Aug: I cannot work without internet, so spend £12.99 on mobile data
26th Aug: I spend £25 more on mobile data
27th Aug: Openreach booked to sort General Fault on 30th

1st September 2020: PlusNet book Openreach to come on 4th Sept.
4th Sept: Internet is restored at 1.5Mbps.
5th Sept: PlusNet book Openreach to come on 11th Sept.
8th Sept: My speed test comes up at 30.40Mbps
11th Sept: Openreach come in, do a speed test & leave

6/?
15th September 2020: PlusNet call & get my to run speed tests. I get between 15-30Mbps on ethernet, 2Mbps on wi-fi.
16th Sept: PlusNet explain the fault isn't severe enough to escalate, but too severe to close. Will discuss with colleagues.

Weeks pass

7/?
4th October: The phone line crackles for 3 days, after heavy rain.
8th October 2020: PlusNet book Openreach for 9th Oct, as my "minimum should be 32.4Mbps".

Worth noting, I'm no longer in a contract, and the main reason for that is that they're quoting a lower estimated speed. And whilst researching this thread, I'm quite annoyed to discover I should be getting MUCH closer to 40Mbps.
