I never implied eating no meat was your point either. I was arguing against the dangers of advocating eating little meat in the name of moderation. In case of diet, what constitutes as healthy "moderation" is often & should be personalized, based on factors that i mentioned - https://twitter.com/_su_gibi/status/1314446802716942336
including your ancestral gut microbiome & environment. Just because the Prophet ï·ș diet was a certain way, does not mean yours should be too, as that largely depends on 1. state of health 2. ancestry & many other factors, which i went into detail here https://twitter.com/HolisticMuslim/status/1314313214599987201?s=20
How does one define "excessive meat eating"? Eating meat most days, and for some every day, may actually be better than eating it little, especially for women. Ive long been a proponent for grass fed meat and & acknowledged this later on in the thread https://twitter.com/HolisticMuslim/status/1314315125579341824?s=20
The initial tweet didnt make that distinction. Even so, it wouldnt make sense to use that argument against meat in general since it only applies to processed meat

Im not gonna repeat what i said in my thread, so leaving this as is
IM going to expand a little on that thread

i have a problem with bringing up meat in diet advice only in the context of vilifying it, it's significance as the most nutrient dense food gets lost in the discourse. I went thru this two years ago, ate *processed* meat in moderation
"moderation" where I limited it to only few days a week, with the intention of transitioning to grassfed/pasture raised meat. For health and ethical reasons. My days w/ no meat will be filled with plant based protein like beans & lentils. What tht resulted in was excess dizziness
and black outs. I found that i needed to incorporate meat for most days of my week to feel ok, and not "little" as some are demanding everyone should follow. Knowing that im a woman & taking into account that women are particularly vulnerable to negative consequences of less meat
consumption, i knew i needed to reintroduce it, despite the fact that its going to be processed meat at times. & even then, some doctors advocate that even if u dont have the privilege to access grass fed meat, its still wise to maintain meat in ur diet by going for leaner cuts
(which helps one avoid any potential toxicity from factory farmed meant). This is a legitimate view & as i said, the topic needs more nuance than simply equating moderation = eat less meat. And meat is bad bc something something cancer. No plant based protein can compare to meat
in terms of nutrients that are essential to my body as a woman. At the end of the day, diet is never one size fit all. And in the face of nutrient depletion in our world, where animal-based supplements are increasingly prescribed and relied upon to meet that nutrient demand,
perhaps generalizing an advice like this isnt actually wise, as i said.

End. Not going back to this topic lol
