Trail now has 2 new M*A*S*H wayfinding sings. Seems a little optimistic to say, for example, the Vento Nature Sactuary is thataway when it’s on the other side of the river. But ok. The signs are still pretty great.

There’s also new solar lights in some of the darker bits—a detail often overlooked. Fences have been installed to keep ppl from wandering into adjacent junkyards. The gate at Barge Channel Road is finally removed.

One other feature I like is the corrals where the trail crosses railroad tracks. They slow bikers down just enough to observe oncoming choo choos.

I’m not sure when the official opening is, but I hope it’s before snow falls. StP deserves some serious kudos for this & IMO places us as one of the country’s best cities for biking.
