The best way to start practicing Paganism, or just any secular religion involving Pagan gods, is to meditate / contemplate on the gods and the myths surrounding them.

Odin's mysteries are incredibly difficult to master, but once done it, will bring you immense enjoyment. (1/2)
I repeat: in no way Odin is a Christian construction. His cult preceded Christianity's rise to prominence by many years, and was recorded in Tacitus's Germania (2/2).
The myth of Odin hanging himself on a tree for nine days represents the search for wisdom over the nine realms of existence in Norse mythology. It also tells us the quest for wisdom often involves unthinkable sacrifices. (3)
Lastly, Hermes, whom Odin was connected to via Interpretatio Roma, came from pre-Hellenic Pelasgian natives of the Balkans, whom, again, preceded the Hebrew people by many many years (4).
Now, is Odin a Semite? Nope, unless you are willing to say anything MENA = Semite.
But, stupidly enough, that would leave every single European alive with a trace of "proto-Semitic" blood and ideas, since the European Neolithic stock was said to have migrated from the Middle East (5).
Conclusion: Odin is not a Semite, Hermes is not a Semite; and any attempt to "over-Aryanize" the Greek or Germanic myths, will leave our folk vulnerable by depriving them of necessary mythos and metaphors crucial for their understanding of the past, and thus, of the future (6).
By the way: if you practice magic and want to join the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, consider that you will learn from a man named Hermes Trismegistus, who believed his teachings were inspired by Hermes / Thoth. If you think the Hermetic Order is too "Semitic" ...
... then do not, ever, EVER practice their magic, because you will acquire for yourself some Semitic traits.
Picture: the Kybalion, one of the important esoteric teachings. Inspired ultimately by Hermes himself.

"Very Semitic according to some people."
Well, I abuse myself of going into different topics, but here is an interesting website of an all-female priesthood in the Netherlands, revolving around the book Oera Linda:

Meditation is the best way to experience the Gods, without the need to go to a specific place. You can also contemplate on the archetypes that the Gods represent.
Think, and contemplate, the significance of the World Tree (Yggdrasil), or the meaning of the Morrigan archetype.
