The best thing that happened during the 3rd generation of K-pop is... Produce 101. Hear me out. Before, I was against a survival program but I realized that earlier groups joined these shows too haha so I don't know why I opposed it maybe I just don't like "Pick Me" (well I love-
it already). PD 101 gave us fans a chance to create our own K-pop group and at the same time made trainees popular before their official debut. It's a win-win situation for contestants even if they got eliminated, they were still able to gain exposure that helped in establishing-
a fanbase. I was so upset when the show was rigged ever since because it benefited underrated idols, hopefuls, and trainees belonging in a small company who has a lot to show, besides, we got to sympathize with the struggles of a trainee and see performances that idols won't nor-
mally do on stage. Personally, it somewhat rekindled my love for K-pop. I bought albums again, bought front seat tickets to concerts twice, watched their variety shows, and for the first time had my very first ult bias. I really hope that in the future shows would be fair & just.
To end this thread, I would like everyone to support these trainees' groups since they went through a lot of physical, emotional, mental exhaustion in joining a competition that turned out to be fake in the end. Also, support groups that joined other least popular survival shows
