me being tired of racism in the anime community - a thread
ok first to start off anime is not a race specific thing. all races can watch it. and if you aren’t japanese, you don’t have the right to gatekeeping something that’s not even your part of culture. stay in your lane please
2nd - poc already don’t have a lot representation in anime so it really hurts when toxic people in the community feel the need to bring down poc redraws from animes. just let us have this one thing, kay?
3rd - anime is a really big escape from reality to me and a lot of other poc. it’s a safe place. the last thing we need is racist people ruining that too. if we can’t win in this world at least let us have something in the 2d world
4th - we can’t cosplay or watch it. we can’t recreate it, we cant talk about it. what’s up with that? why can we not just be regular fans? we all share the common interest so why ruin it? it really gets to me and a lot of other people.
5th - it truly is infuriating to see your escape from reality crumble right in front of you. black is beautiful. black is not a threat. black lives still matter. end of thread
