To preface this theory, I need to make a few statements.

1. I will be presenting my theory from the jump and then diving into my arguments following it.

2. This theory HAS been briefly floated as a joke but with no actual arguments (as far as I’ve seen).
3. I have no proof or evidence. I have arguments I’ve made from articles I’ve read. This is not proven. This is merely a theory. So to those involved, please do not come for my head. I am only guilty of being a poor man with too much time on my hands.

Let’s do this.
ERIC YUAN, THE CREATER, FOUNDER, AND MAJORITY SHAREHOLDER OF ZOOM TECHNOLOGIES, FUNDED THE RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT, AND EVENTUAL RELEASE OF COVID-19.
NOW.

I know what you’re thinking.

“We waited all day for this??”

Yes. You did. But it’s worth it, I promise. Stick with me.
First, let’s talk about China. China is the most populous country in the world. Wuhan is the capital of Hubei, which is the 9th most populous territory of China. Being the most populous country, it makes sense that it is also one of the most densely populated countries as well.
Wuhan is the 9th largest city in China and was at one point, briefly, the capital of China.

It is considered to be the political, economic, financial, commercial, cultural and educational center of Central China.
On top of this, it is a major domestic transportation hub. Being as it is the heart of central China, it is arguably the most important transportation hub of China.
I don’t know if y’all can tell yet, but I did a lot of research today.
Now.

Before we dive into Eric Yuan, I just want to say that it’s a little CONVENIENT that COVID-19 made its global debut in the beating heart of the most populated country in the world.

SEEMS A LITTLE SKETCH TO ME, BUT LET’S MOVE ON.
Eric Yuan is a Chinese-American. He was born and raised in Tai'an, Shandong Province, China. As a freshman in college in 1987, he started diving in to videotelephony as a means to communicate over long distance.
In 1997, Eric Yuan moved to Silicon Valley to join the tech boom. He found a job with a company called WebEx, which was eventually bought out by Cisco.

In 2011, he left Cisco and started Zoom Video Communications.
There are plenty of colleges with ties to foreign entities, but in light of COVID-19, a special connection was made between a few colleges and the particular laboratory in Wuhan that the virus was traced back to.

One of those colleges was the University of Texas. 🤘🏼
Now, his team has denied all ties to UT, but there have been many speculations and allegations regarding Mr. Yuan donating money and equipment to the school. Particularly to the science department which has worked closely with the Wuhan laboratory.
(There’s a chance he’s telling the truth, but personally, if I had ties to a lab that somehow managed to pump out one of the most contagious viruses ever, I would deny it as well. I’m just saying.)
Here’s where things get a little FISHY.

There’s a winery about an hour and some change up the road from Zoom HQ. It’s called Acumen Winery.

Acumen Winery is owned by a gentleman named Eric Yuan.
There’s a possibility that this Eric Yuan is a different Eric Yuan from Zoom.

HOWEVER.

This is 2020, and everything’s on the internet, right?

WRONG.
Here’s what we know about Acumen’s Eric Yuan.

He went to Paris once. He loved the wine and decided to buy a winery in California.

Oh, and he lives in WUHAN.
There’s no other information on this Eric Yuan anywhere to be found! I find it a little odd in today’s world that a man who is rich enough to live in China and own a winery in California HAS NO TRACE ON THE INTERNET.
Even MORE odd is that Acumen’s Eric Yuan lives in Wuhan with a winery that is only an hour up the road from Zoom HQ, which is ALSO owned by a man named Eric Yuan.

(You might have everybody else fooled, ERIC, but NOT ME)
I think Eric Yuan utilized his knowledge and understanding of China’s societal and economical infrastructure to ensure the most effective release of COVID-19 in the most populous country on Earth.
See, here’s the thing. He started studying videotelephony in 1987, right? That’s 32 years before COVID-19.
That is PLENTY of time for a man of his intelligence to draw out and implement a plan to send the world into a full shutdown, making his product arguably the most important of the pandemic.
One last thing.

Guess what company went public on the markets in April of 2020? Just a few months before COVID-19 was first detected?

THAT’S RIGHT. ZOOM. ZOOM WENT PUBLIC RIGHT BEFORE THIS PANDEMIC STARTED. Y’ALL DIDN’T EVEN KNOW WHAT ZOOM WAS THIS TIME LAST YEAR.
So there you have it.

I’m working on a few other angles, but I need to do some more research.

That being said, we’ve all believed crazier conspiracy theories on less information. I think I’ve provided a relatively compelling argument.
Again, Mr. Yuen, if you see this, please don’t sue me for libel. I’m merely a bored 27-year-old with a vivid imagination.

But also I think you did it.

Also please don’t Clinton me. I’m not ready to go yet.
*YUAN. NOT YUEN.
Also I’ll just say that all day today I’ve been trying to figure out how to pronounce his last name and I can’t. It’s a disaster. I’m so glad I didn’t make a video because my white would’ve been glaringly obvious. If my mullet didn’t already do that.
