If conservatives actually wanted an electoral college for these reasons, they'd modify the number of electoral votes in each state to be proportional to the population.

I haven't seen a single one of them support this idea. https://twitter.com/prageru/status/1314270585682309122
It's laughable how obvious the whole electoral college argument is based on Republicans knowing they could never win without it, specifically in its current form.
Every single one of them rambles on about "civic duty" and "upholding the republic" and all this other shit that means absolutely nothing. It's all an aesthetic because they want to feel like frontiersmen of the suburbs. It's embarrassing.
If one of them stumbled across this they'd probably call me "ignorant" or something, like I'm supposed to care about their larping and treat it seriously.

Fellas this is your country.
I cannot emphasize enough how lame it is to just spout off canned phrases from the "I'm American Please Don't Make Fun of My Country" handbook.

They're as pathetic as British people who try to justify all the unelected people in government that have "fancy names".
