Tonight, I supported @JoeBiden, @KamalaHarris, and @PADems up and down the ticket by phone banking. Here’s why I’m filled with hope:

Against all odds, people are excited about the process. I was reminded of this when a woman told me her husband had just become a citizen and can’t wait to vote for the first time.

Another voter, age 88, was thrilled to talk to me, practically screaming with elation telling me she gets to vote for Joe Biden. She was so happy to have her questions answered about voting by mail.

...she’s passing along all the information I shared to the other residents of her assisted living home, where she’s the only one with a phone on her floor.

I got to explain how the vote by mail process worked to a 19 year old woman, who is getting to vote for the first time. I helped her find resources on http://www.Iwillvote.com  to share with her friends, too.

Then, I listened to a woman who had a bad day. I was the 3rd person who called her about politics. Her phone has been ringing off the hook...

But I was the only one who has asked her how to properly say HER name and listened. So I was the only one she told that she had voted for Trump in 2016... but that her vote this year was placed in the mail for @JoeBiden today.

So thank you to everyone I spoke with tonight and to everyone who has made their plan to vote. Thank you for being the kind of person who votes and sets a good example for your community. ;)
