2009: having been the side's second most important player for two years, carlos tevez signs permanently for man utd and ferguson builds the side around him

2008: having shown he can build a more long lasting side, barcelona hire jose mourinho as their new manager.

2011: after winning back to back la liga titles, mourinho's barcelona shockingly implode. pep guardiola appointed his replacement, has to make do with physical midfield as xavi and iniesta were sold.
