I'm a fucking bog cleaner from Bristol. My main job is cleaning toilets. I don't expect people to seek me out for my views on art or literature. But it would be nice if people could mention me by name at least when they are quoting stuff I put on here. Its all I have.

Theres always this assumption that we are all nice people with nice jobs. Well, we're not. Some of us clean your offices, scrub you skiddies off the back of the loo, wipe your elderly relatives arses. We're the people who went back to work as soon as we could because we had to

I go and stay with my elderly parents every other weekend. I hope i don't kill them. COVID isn't an inconvenience for me (I have to take the bus to work most days) its a worry.

I woould love to stand with Peter Hitchens and co and be against lockdown, but if i am wrong they will die. And I couldn't live with that. Could you?

They both have underlying health issues, my dad particularly, I feel bad going stay but they would go mad without me. They didnt leave the house for 3 months.

I am not a benefits cheat ( I take nothing off the state) but I am poor. I cannot work from home (unless they bring the toilets to me) every time I go to work I feel guilty. I live in a hut 15' by 8' and I bother no-one.

There is no political party that speaks for me, there is no trades union to represent me. There are thousands of people out there like me, ignored, overlooked, working hard.

We are the tired people on your bus, we are the people in tabards at your workplace. We are black, white, muslim, E european, single mums, unskilled workers. We dont get claps, we go to work.

We, once, would have been the Labour party. Where are they?
