THREAD. I know I talked with both of my parents about this, but I haven't said anything here yet.

Ever since last year, especially after taking Business Law at UTA, I've been keeping up with a MeToo case that went to court in Fort Worth.
We did learn about the concept of defamation, but the TCPA was not part of the BLAW curriculum. Looking back now, I just don't understand why it wasn't mentioned by my professor. I read a lot of the affidavits in support of four defendants, and it seems clear that they were
innocent of all 17 charges brought upon them. I contacted my professor about the lawsuit that was brought upon them last year when a majority of the charges were dismissed and haven't heard back. I don't even know if he read what I shared with him.
Moving on! I was particularly supportive of Funimation, Monica, Jamie, and Ron since the lawsuit filed against them was more of a bad comedy than an actual lawsuit. I was also a little dragged into watching some of Funimation's dubs in the next few months after hearing what...
charges were brought upon them. I don't know why I'm just now speaking my mind, but I feel better now that I got this off my chest. I don't know who will end up reading this, but Monica, Ron, Jamie, and Funimation have my support.
Another thing I cannot get over is how much people who think Monica and Jamie lied still go at it even with so much evidence brought to court in their Anti-SLAPP Motion to Dismiss that they as well as other women were indeed harassed by Vic at conventions and elsewhere over...
the years he's been in this environment. I dunno how much I'll really end up saying about this in the future, and I know there's far more about the topic than I've covered in this thread, but I just wanted to speak my mind and show my support for the four defendants.
