now.. I’ve been wanting to do this thread for a while bc its just something abt the texture, tone, and different styles that he uses in songs.. idk if some of these tweets will make sense so pls bear w me

so we all know that hobi can rap AND sing as we have heard in plenty of bts songs and his own.. so first lets talk abt his rapping..he has a very distinct voice that stands out when he raps and is very recognizable.. He uses his rapping voice as somewhat of an on and off switch
+ for when he wants to use raspiness in his voice when rapping.. some prime examples in the vid shown below are UGH, 1Verse (that phlegm part was bonkers), Ma City, and Silver Spoon
as I stated earlier, his voice is very distinct and I can kind of tell that he studied some rap greats such as ODB from the Wu Tang Clan, Busta Rhymes, and maybe even DMX bc they all have that somewhat similar tones..
he also calms his voice down and sometimes even uses his singing voice when they or he does slow/ medium paced songs..his voice really does something to me
his rapping and singing overall is VERY immaculate and unique, but his background vocals are just on a whole other level.. like he really be eating up them vocals and adlibs
