Tutorials are an awesome tool for visual and hands-on learners.
But after a while, coding with tutorials only gets you so far. Time to spread your wings and fall on your face to learn how to code.

That's where making your own projects come in.
If you're not comfrotable with venturing off by yourself just yet, make a copy of the tutorial you went through with different features.

If it's a cat app, make it a dog app instead.

This helped me get comfortable with experimenting w/o going too far away from the tutorial...
But if you're ready to start making some extra projects on your own, here are some common project ideas that I'm sure have tutorials somewhere on the internet if you need some guidance:
