Either Jon Watts or Kevin Feige have a fundamental problem with letting Spider-Man be a self sufficient and competent character. I get why Tony Stark was in Homecoming, I /like/ Homecoming. Far From Home? Well that didn't learn anything from the first.

Now with #SpiderMan3?
Listen, and I mean really listen...Dr. Strange is great. I like Dr. Strange when he interacts with Spider-Man in the comics. It usually leads to some sort of magical team-up adventure that's great.

But he isn't a mentor. If anything, make Dr. Strange treat Spidey as an equal.
Make it an actual /team-up/ movie rather than another "well Peter is really just a dumb fucking kid, so let's showcase his lack of intelligence again" kind of movie. Because he isn't...he's smart, Dr. Strange should help him, but not carry him as a mentor.

I want cooperation.
That's what I want out of Spider-Man 3. If Dr. Strange is in the movie, I want them to be a /team/, with equal footing.

Give me that vibrant techni-color Steve Ditko acid trip that I crave from the two heroes. Because it could be SO COOL!

But for now, I'm not holding my breath.
