(With some 130 analysis to push my point a little bit further)
However you might think about it, Eren and Historia are carrying the same burden. Eren gave up on humanity, he gave up on HIS humanity. He threw everything away to protect Paradis, Historia and her descendants. He threw it away out of his free will. (1)
When Eren told his plan to her Historia hesitated, panicked, etc. She started convincing herself that letting titans kill billions for her own people& #39;s sake wasn& #39;t a thing she would do. Eren knew, he knew it wasn& #39;t her. He reminded her what she said when she was saving him. (2)
He reminded her who she really was. "You& #39;re still the worst girl in the world who save me that day" these are his words, this is a callback to the words she said to him when she was saving him. These were the words she said when she let her true self out. (3)
Historia looks worried, she& #39;s confused and that& #39;s where the flashback stops. We then get a brief flashback of a really important conversation for both Eren and Historia, her famous question. She asks Eren what he would think about her having a child. (4)
Knowing Eren he would have said no. It makes her more vulnerable, she could die of childbirth, the MPs would& #39;ve sacrificed her regardless, Eren wants the Reiss family to be born free, etc. In short he wouldn& #39;t have accepted if it was for his plan. (5)
But why did he accept? Because it& #39;s a motivation. He knows that if he fails her child will live enslaved to the cycle of royal blooded children eating their parent. And that& #39;s most likely the reason why Historia asked in the first place, judging by her being suddenly so calm. (6)
Now why did I summarize 130? Because that& #39;s the chapter that shows us why Historia chose to stay quiet. It& #39;s in my opinion simply because she accepted to carry the burden with Eren. She commited the same crimes as him. (7)
Look: She gave up on humanity, she gave up on HER humanity. She threw everything away to protect herself, to stay the ally of her savior, motivate him to free Paradis, and come back to meet her child, free. That is what we call sharing a burden. That is what Eren wanted. (8)
A woman so strong that she could abandon the lifes of billions for herself. He knew she& #39;s the only one capable of accepting such a thing. And he was totally right. Thanks (partially) to her being on his side, Eren is as motivated as ever. (9)
Stream this I guess lol?
