NEW: Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel just announced charges against seven more men under state terrorism laws.
Nessel identified the group involved as the "Wolvorine Watchmen."
Sorry, that was a bad typo. It should be: Wolverine Watchmen
Federal court records hinted at this, but Michigan state court records make it plain: this plot w as allegedly carried out by "boogaloo" adherents.

The leader of the group called himself "Boogaloo Bunyan." https://www.michigan.gov/documents/ag/Affidavit_joe_morrison_and_pete_musico_704633_7.pdf
Michigan has a long history of the kind of anti-government paramilitary groups we'd usually refer to as militias. But these arrests involve the boogaloo movement, a new iteration that's been prepping for a Second Civil War in the US.
Back in July, I compiled a list of criminal cases linked to the boogaloo movement. There have been several arrests since this was published, but it will give you an idea of what we're dealing with here. https://www.informant.news/p/the-boogaloo-cases
Mara Schneider, spokesperson for the FBI in Detroit, tells me these new arrests in Michigan are not directly related to the shooting death of Eric Allport.

“His arrest and yesterday’s arrests are not part of the same investigation,” Schneider told me.
