Despite the Covid cloud we are under, it's time to run through the big issues we face in #fantasyfootball in Week 5. I had a bit of a rough mental health week last week, but I'm back and ready to roll.

Let's do another edition of #DrewsClues and talk tough situations...

1/
I firmly believe we have to give guys a month of games to see what they are for 2020. The other side of the coin is, I don't believe in giving much more time than that. That doesn't mean cut everyone who isn't performing, but by now we know a lot more about what players...

2/
...are going to do with new situations on their teams - new coaches, teammates, schemes, etc. Some guys should get more leeway based on body of work, some shouldn't. So what guys are disappointing and what should we do with them?

#DrewsClues
3/
#KenyanDrake is a big one. I, for one, am giving him one more week (I said that last week), but right now if you have better options he should be benched.

The good news is he is averaging 17.8 touches per gm, and he has 12 red zone opportunities through 4 games.

#DrewsClues
4/
The bad news is I can't stand what they're doing near the goal line as it mostly looks like this 👇

Further, Edmonds is siphoning enough high leverage situations that #Drake is in a bad spot. Give him a couple more weeks before cutting, but benching is appropriate.
5/
#Cardinals
#Giants Offense

I said it this summer and again last week - their opening stretch was brutal for any offense. Do I love them? No. And their schedule isn't great in total, but they'll get better. Everyone is overreacting a bit to the gauntlet they've run.

#DrewsClues
6/
#AJGreen

I'm not sure I agree with the takes that he's completely done. But as I said in the Roundtable this week on #Footballguys - the #TeeHiggins bell can't be unrung. He's taken Green's poor start and barged through the door. Green is not startable right now.

7/
#MichaelGallup

I'm a HUGE fan, but the term "too many mouths to feed" isn't hyperbole. Lamb has been so good he's squeezing Gallup's opps. He is 5th on the team in targets, and even in a strong 2019 he was inconsistent. It's worse now. He's not an essential hold.
8/
#TYHilton

Not only has Hilton been dreadful (7.3 PPG), but the offense isn't exactly churning out huge fantasy games for other players. I thought the injuries to Pittman and Campbell would help, but it hasn't. I dropped him in a 12 teamer this week.

#DrewsClues
9/
#ZachErtz

He's gonna be fine. Let's not panic. The WRs are getting healthier, and Goedert will be back in a few weeks. When that happens the whole offense will get better, and the focus won't be on stopping Ertz. Hold, or buy if the price is right.

#DrewsClues
10/
#Falcons Offense

The game on the road was a bad spot for the Falcons this week. Julio banged up. Ridley facing Jaire. Outdoors on grass. This offense is fine - check out their mouth watering schedule coming: CAR(x2), MIN, DET, DEN. If people are bailing you know what to do

11/
#JonathanTaylor

The big games will be there, but it's time to admit there are some red flags.
- Has 4 catches in last 3 games
- Just one game above 50% snap share
- Tough game this week v Cle

The #Colts have a good second half rushing schedule so I'm holding (or buying)

12/
Ok let's move on to a couple of the murky situations that I get asked about a lot. These are because of a possible changing of the guard, injury, or coaching decisions. These are tough ones, but that's why we're here.

#DrewsClues
13/
#Panther Wide Receivers

What do we do with #RobbyAnderson and #DJMoore?

I think both receivers are going to be just fine. Let's not panic about Moore, and let's not discount Anderson's start.

#DrewsClues
14/
Anderson is free now & he's blowing up. This isn't a mirage. He's talented and being put with a coach who likes him and knows how to use him. Check out this play from Sunday where he caught the ball at the 49, and easily beat 3 defenders to the edge for 12 more yards 🔥

15/
#Moore on the other hand has struggled. But, I'm still bullish.

- Just 2 targets less than Anderson
- 4th in the league with 43% of team Air Yards đź‘€
- 16th in Rec Yards ahead of: Tyreek/Thielen/Fuller/Beckham and others

Stick with him. Week 5 @ Atlanta 🔥

#Buccaneers Backfield

What should you do with this situation? Jones, Fournette, McCoy, and now Vaughn...What clues do we have to future production?

#DrewsClues

17/
Raw honesty here: If you have one of these guys you need to hold - injuries happen, and guys establish themselves.

If you don't - leave it alone. This is not going to change.

Jones had a bad week dropping passes. Fournette is hurt. And if Vaughn grabs the McCoy role...

18/
...does anyone care? With Fournette returning soon, I don't see how I'd be comfortable with any of them in regular 12 tms. They aren't droppable, but I never want to start them. Covid makes it a bit different so I'm fine with keeping them, but they also make great WW bombs đź‘€
19/
#Rams backfield

McVay told us what to expect this offseason - he wasn't lying. This is a full committee. We got excited about Brown, then Henderson after Brown and Akers were hurt. But when all three are healthy it's a quagmire. Avoid. This is what it is. Roster cloggers.

20/
#Chargers backfield

This one is simple to me:
- Grab both or whoever is available
- Kelley should lead in touches IF he stops fumbling
- You should hedge if possible bc both will see the field
- Kelley has the high leverage GL and screen work for now

#DrewsClues
21/
Ok before we are done let's talk about a few of the guys who have seen some success that we didn't expect and see whether we think they can sustain it.

#DrewsClues

22/
#AaronRodgers

This one doesn't make as much logical sense, and I heard someone I respect say the "Rodgers F You Tour" is a silly line of thought...BUT I can't help it. These are humans. This is a human game. Dude looks unstoppable. I'm not questioning it. I was wrong.

23/
#AaronJones

I beat the regression drum all offseason. Time to admit I was wrong. The offense is so high functioning that *despite* the red flags Jones is still flourishing. Those red flags are still there, but Jones is an absolute gem. I'm taking the L here.

24/
#DakPrescott

Yes his production is a crazy outlier so far, but what is going to change to suddenly make that regress? The defense stinks. He has insanely good weapons. They play at a fast pace. Dak, Cooper, Lamb, Zeke, and even Schultz are top options going forward. Period.

25/
#JamesConner

After what appeared to be a weird power-struggle-come-injury in Week 1 Conner did exactly what we thought he was capable of Weeks 2/3. Injuries are always a concern, but I see a soft schedule and a very good offense. Hold or Buy.

#DrewsClues
26/
#JoeMixon

Is he back? In a word - yes. There are going to be some rough patches on the schedule (Steelers x2, Colts, Browns), but the 6 catches has me more interested than the scores. Don't overthink it. Averaging 20 touches per game - Lock him in your lineups now.

27/
#StefonDiggs

I'm taking the L here too. #JoshAllen looks incredible. There really is no precedent for inaccurate college QBs making this leap but he's done it. I'm happy for Diggs and Bills fans both. The coaching job from this staff is incredible. I'm buying in.

28/
#TylerBoyd

Tons of passing attempts. Coming off two 90 catch campaigns. What more does he need to do to convince people he's good? There's still room on the Boyd Bandwagon.

#DrewsClues
29/
Ok well I could ramble about this stuff all day - I love talking & thinking about it.

If I missed someone you have questions about I'm happy to answer those.
