I think I am ready to make my "Damon Salvatore is the worst character written in the television history" thread
-Damon is a selfish person. That& #39;s not new, is it? Time to time again, he has accepted it and his attempts at becoming selfless was such a failure istg.Remember when he walked out on his bestfriend and his own brother or when he wanted Elena miserable bcs she wasn& #39;t w him?
-I wouldn& #39;t go as far to say I don& #39;t hate Damon because of all the shitty things he has done, in fact, the things he does make my hate fuel for him. What pisses me off more is he does one good thing and is suddenly labelled as the good guy.

-Damon is the most insensitive person in TVD. Having no regard for human life, the literal opening scene was him killing humans. Abusing and raping Caroline, Killing his brother& #39;s best friend, constantly putting Bonnie& #39;s life on line and trying to kill Caroline.

-Not only this, Damon went behind both the girls Stefan loved the most, Katherine and Elena because he couldn& #39;t seem to respect either of their relationships. Now I get that Datherine was mostly seduction and Katherine manipulating Damon but that wasn& #39;t the case with Delena-
-Adding to Damon& #39;s ungratefulness, his disrespect and selfishness, Damon had the audacity to go behind his brother& #39;s girlfriend when he was out saving him. Remember when he asked Elena to give up on searching for Stefan? Now, I know alot of DE stans are gonna come for me-
-talking about how Stefan gave up on Damon when he was in the prison world too? Actually no, he didn& #39;t. Remember when Enzo visited Stefan and asked him about the Gemini coven. The guy had looked for every possible traces ever.
I could literally mention so many things about how Damon has been bad, him force feeding Elena numerous times.
I see alot of people talking about how Stefan ate children knowing he had ripper gene. But remember how Damon fed on a pregnant woman and had to be locked down to keep him away?Remember how he killed her and when Stefan had to hide Zach& #39;s daughter bcs he was scared he& #39;d kill her?
-Damon did NOT respect Elena& #39;s friends. None of them. We have seen how he formed a bonding with both Caroline and Bonnie in the later seasons but he never actually apologized to them about the bad things he did. We have seen how he killed Tyler and Aaron too.
Now about Damon lying, remember how he actually hid that he murdered the Whitmore family while he still was with Elena? Sure, I believe he tried to be a good person but it was an utter failure. He only cared about him having a good image in front of Elena, not actually change tho
I like how Julie tried to change our minds about Damon showing how he saved Stefan when they were kids but he has done extremely unforgivable things.
I hate how inconsistent his character was. He felt noble out of nowhere and then got back to being his psychotic murder self. Believe me, I tried to like him and I actually did when he was with Bonnie. The guy actually was a good person when he was w her, not just act abt it.
In conclusion, Damon had absolutely 0 character development in the whole series. His character was inconsistent throughout the whole show. I believe the writers had every chance to actually work on his development but i guess Julie Plec was too busy working on DE.
