Feds: Group met secretly in a basement, entrance was through a trap door covered by a rug. Phones had to be left upstairs. But one attendee wore a wire.

This very much does not sound like idle talk. They drove to Whitmer's home for surveillance several times. Purchasing equipment, including a taser. Plot was still live this week.

One person in the group suggested, re: Gov. Whitmer.

"Have one person go to her house. Knock on the door and when she answers it just cap her . . . at this point. Fuck it."

Discussed blowing up a bridge leading to Whitmer's home to hinder police response.

Also discussed setting off other bombs to divert police away from the area while the kidnapping would happen
