Hi Book Twitter! Thought I’d take a moment to introduce myself and my #mswl now that I’m an agent with @newleafliterary. As the kids say, a thread (cc: @weneeddiversebooks @writersdigest @writersofcolor):

For the last ten years, I worked as an in-house publicist and marketer in both publishing and tech.

Some of my favorite books that I publicized include WHAT IF? & THING EXPLAINER by @xkcd creator Randall Munroe, TOOLS OF TITANS by @tferriss, and THIS IS JUST MY FACE by @GabbySidibe, among many others.

I decided to become an agent because I want to be part of the change to help diversify publishing (an industry I love very much).

To that end, I’d love to see fiction and non-fiction queries from #OwnVoices, the BIPOC community, LGBTQIA writers and every voice in between.

Some of my favorite authors include Ted Chiang, Carmen Maria Machado, Sally Rooney, James McBride, John Green, Jenny Han, and Nicola Yoon.

In other words, I love thought-provoking narrative non-fiction, elevated genre/ literary fiction, and YA love stories that make you cry!
