Zomato is just montetizing on the public sentiment because they have bullied my 60+ year old mother-in-law who is a brilliant baker into selling her food at cost price or even less than that because & #39;that& #39;s all we can do, this is how it works outside& #39;. Heartbroken she shut shophttps://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="đź’©" title="Dreckshaufen" aria-label="Emoji: Dreckshaufen"> https://twitter.com/ZomatoIN/status/1314221017724641280">https://twitter.com/ZomatoIN/...
Time and again, both Swiggy & Zomato have made it clear to her that & #39;If you don& #39;t give 50% discounts, we cant do anything for you & no one will buy from you& #39; and have repeatedly crushed her soul with back-breaking hidden charges and conditions.
I am happy about people stepping out and going out of their way to make a difference to the old couple from Baba Ka Dhaba& #39;s lives but random brands should shove their opportunism up their orificies and stay out of it.
She lives in a small town where she used to bake her cakes. Then travel 90kms to the nearby city, frost & finish the cakes, get them ready for pick-up by @ZomatoIN and then travel back home 90kms. She did this when she was 62-63 but the platform just didn& #39;t help her out.
All Zomato wanted was a 50% discount on her food for their customers & their own 30% commission. She didn& #39;t comply as she was losing money so the platform ensured that she didnt have any option but to stop.

So this & #39;savior& #39; stance that the platform is taking is bullshit. Fin.
