Hmmmmm I've seen some people upset at the idea that #BBCghosts queerbaited us with the Captain/Havers story but that's not what I got from the episode at all?
I figured we were led to believe it was this tragic unspoken love story, then got the comic twist where [spoiler] he really was talking about an "explosive" all along, and William was in fact the name of the mine/operation but
then, at the end of the episode, we get another twist with the Captain's look of anguish as he remembers Havers leaving and it's clear that he really did love him after all.
Plus it's obvious from like every other instance of him checking out men that the Cap is gay. I mean I guess we'll have to wait & see what they have in store for us with season 3 but I'm not too concerned they're going all "lol no homo" on us especially after the lesbian wedding.
Though it's also possible I just have perma-gay-goggles on, as always.
Also, how good was Ben Willbond in that episode?
