please STOP throwing around the term OCD. you don't like something out of place? you don't like a messy room? cool that's fucking normal! it is not OCD to like for things to be in order.

OCD is SERIOUS and SO much more than neatness/organization.
OCD is violent intrusive thoughts of things you'd never do, when someone or something is triggering you(in terms of OCD triggers). OCD is hypochondria, constant fear of being contaminated or having your possessions contaminated.
sometimes OCD makes it impossible to go anywhere, for weeks at a time, because everything triggers you and you're constantly experiencing sensory overload.
OCD is repetitiveness, ritualistic behaviors, that may even be harmful. this can be counting, locking a door an exact number of times every time you leave, etc...
in terms of compulsions, OCD can keep you from ever finishing anything because it isn't perfect so you have to restart. i play games every fucking day and i've probably only finished 5 in my entire lifetime. i also constantly change my profile bc it's never perfect.
you can't control compulsions or triggers, that's the worst part. you can't stop intrusive thoughts. OCD is dark and violent.

SO STOP MISUSING THE TERM BECAUSE YOU WANNA BE QUIRKY.
OH i forgot, one big symptom of OCD is picking at scabs or acne or basically any skin abnormality. i'm literally covered in scars from this
sorry for the aggression here, i know that OCD is widely misunderstood and most people who misuse the term don't know any better. the intention of this thread is to inform so you will know better and not do it anymore. i'm just passionate and that turns into aggression lmao
