Oh. Internship matching season na again? Haha. Remember, the popular choice isn't always the right choice.
1. Location - convenience of home or the thrill (and sometimes, misery) of living alone. Both are okay, choose which your circumstances dictate. As for me, I have been away from home for most parts. A year of decent breakfast was all worth it.
2. Resources - can the family afford to send you away? Relatives that can take you in? Consider cost of living esp now that we're in a pandemic.
3. Where do you want to practice? Internship is the best time to establish network. Some hospitals can be "territorial" i.e. if you didn't train under them, it's less likely that they will accept you for residency.
4. Exposure - if you spent clerkship in a public hospital, why not try private ones for internship? Best time to compare both setting. You will realize a lot.
5. Gusto mo ba mapagod or magpa-chill? Realistically speaking, nakakaburn out ang clerkship. So depende sa energy level mo. :)
6. Internship program - ask for the specifics. Duty hours, stipend, dorm, requirement, conferences, general environment, board reviews, etc.
If you think about it, anywhere can be a place for personal and professional growth. Know what you want and it will lead you to the right choice.
P.S. if you didn't get accepted sa imo first choice, hoy okay lang na. It's not the end of the world.

P.P.S. if magpa-unmatch ka, PM me how. HAHAHAHAHA.
