Kedar Jadhav doesn't get as much appreciation as he should. Look at his ODI stats. Since his debut, he has been a remarkable No.6. Against the top teams (World Cup 2019 teams), only 3 men have 100+ s/r and 40+ avg: Buttler, Miller, Jadhav. https://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?batting_positionmax1=6;batting_positionmin1=6;batting_positionval1=batting_position;class=2;filter=advanced;opposition=1;opposition=2;opposition=25;opposition=3;opposition=4;opposition=40;opposition=5;opposition=6;opposition=7;opposition=8;orderby=batting_strike_rate;qualmin1=10;qualval1=innings;spanmin1=16+Nov+2014;spanval1=span;template=results;type=batting
The average performance of a No.6 since Jadhav's debut - against the top teams - is an average of 30.24 and a strike rate of 92.92. https://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?batting_positionmax1=6;batting_positionmin1=6;batting_positionval1=batting_position;class=2;filter=advanced;groupby=overall;opposition=1;opposition=2;opposition=25;opposition=3;opposition=4;opposition=40;opposition=5;opposition=6;opposition=7;opposition=8;orderby=batting_strike_rate;spanmin1=16+Nov+2014;spanval1=span;team=1;team=2;team=25;team=3;team=4;team=40;team=5;team=6;team=7;team=8;template=results;type=batting
Jadhav (45.21 and 106.18) is comfortably ahead of both.

People have been throwing around his IPL numbers for #CSK
- Yes they are not pretty. That's because he had a bad season in 2019. He joined them in 2018 and put the finishing touch in a thriller vs Mumbai Indians on one leg in the only game he played.

Yes 2019 was bad: 162 runs in 12 inns. Avg 18.00 & s/r 95.85. The numbers look worse because #CSK
consistently give a much longer rope to players. It gives you a great chance to turn things around. Flipside: if you don't turn things around, you end up with a horror season.

Auction price comparison with performance is nuts. He fetched 7.80 cr because 3 franchises were bidding for him. #CSK
beat out #RR
& #SRH
They were all interested because they saw value in what he does. Maybe can't do it now, maybe can. Doesn't mean he deserves this piling on.

The point of putting those ODI stats at No.6 was to show he's been an elite finisher in international cricket. Reasonable to expect that to translate to T20s for franchises. And before 2018, his IPL record was an average of 23.50 at 134.89.
Further: in IPL 2017, before the mega 2018 auction, he played for #RCB middle order and did his role perfectly: avg 22.25, s/r 143.54.
This was RCB of 2017 who finished bottom. Jadhav's strike rate was the best in the team. Better than AB, Kohli, Watson: https://stats.espncricinfo.com/c/engine/records/averages/batting_bowling_by_team.html?id=11701;team=4340;type=tournament
