Looking at my mentions following my tweet last night. In summary I have:
- not a pandemic
- don’t listen to the media
- don’t wear your mask (that I’ve been wearing for 3 years during winter)
- conspiracy theories
- “human rights” abuse over being asked to wear a mask.
Guys, I’ve been in intensive care - planned, but still a trauma on the body. I use a life support machine every night which breathes for me & have done for 20 years now. My sister died from the flu. I understand others may have different views, but we are all missing the crux.
I am not an epidemiologist, doctor or anything otherwise. But the people who have saved my life hundreds of times ARE. I listen to them. I trust them enough to trust their stories of this horrendous virus. I don’t want lived experience of this - because I may not survive.
My medical education was fulfilled a long time ago. One look at what spinal muscular atrophy is would tell you that. I’m trying to protect those around me. Please do the same - and believe the people we see on the news, because many of them have saved my life.
