1. Two ways Kamala Harris remained in control in the Vice Presidential debate:

1) Her speech was deliberately slow, declaratory and she didn't get emotional.

2) When interrupted she asserts herself and says 'he interrupted and I would like to finish'. https://twitter.com/KamalaHarris/status/1314020023032336385
2. These are both good techniques women speakers can adopt, particularly when grappling with the perception challenge that often (unfairly) accompanies prominent women.
3. I would add that another way to deal with being interrupted is to make the point that the audience needs to hear what's being said i.e. don't make it about you, always make it about the viewer.
4. But stay polite, stay calm and, most importantly, remember that even in this age of screaming, most people still find persistent interrupters highly irritating.

Thoughts?
5. Harris also only evaded a specific question once, unlike Pence who dodged a lot - most notably the one about the peaceful transfer of power. Acknowledging the actual questions that are asked is one of the things that sets debating/interviews apart from propaganda speeches.
