When I got into uni, being a PK, I found some things the Christian community did as "overzealous".

I have lived in the pastorium all my life and I've seen how church is and all. So coming to school and seeing young people with all the energy was like "overdo" for me.
But now I understand better. This doesn't still mean some things are not extreme though.

I remember when AJS came to UI in my 100 level, I was shocked at how people were talking about it everywhere. I wasn't even moved. I was hearing the name for the first time.
I would usually go home and tell my dad of how things were done in fellowship. How speaking in tongues was the order of the day. How papa, mumsi, bro, sis was everyone's name and I didn't want that attached to my name. How President's were honoured even though they were visibly
young.

You wouldn't blame me. I grew up in a church were "matured adults" did everything, where my dad, the pastor, is/was matured enough to lead a large congregation.

My dad would usually tell me that that was how it was in his time too but that most times,
the zeal died in school.

I'm no exception. The lockdown has tested my life after school and I really hope to get better by God's grace. Amen!
