Genuine question: Do you think your high school taught you about politics and the political system?

These responses have been fascinating. I’d love to see civics classes set an assignment where students pick a topic they’re passionate about and decide what political mechanisms they can use to try and create change (eg calling an MP). And then they try it in real life!

For the record, I didn’t learn much at all about Aus politics. I think we covered how many federal MPs Australia has, but nothing of real substance. My political views back then were essentially identical to my parents - a trend I’m noticing in the comments too
