Christians:
Gods love is all I need.

Also, Christians:
-I need someone who speaks my love languages!

-I need someone outgoing.

-I need a woman who puts in as much effort as I do in a relationship.

-I need someone w similar interests.

-I need a good Christian boy.

The issue is that we don’t fully understand Gods love, to be satisfied by it.

So we can say the right answers (ie “Gods love is all I need”) but in actuality bad theology has made His love inadequate.

The truth is—
His love IS enough, but we gotta get some lies outta the way.

1) Jesus didn’t die because the Father had a bloodlust because of all your sins.

Jesus died to manifest the truth of how Heaven feels about you.

God loves you. Always has. Always will.

Sin told you He didn’t. It lied. It always does.

So Jesus proved it wrong at the cross.

2) God isn’t Santa. He’s not making a list and checking it twice to see if you’ve been “naughty”.

In fact the Bible says He forgets our sins.

“Love keeps no record of wrongs.”

Old me: BUT GOD I MESSED UP.
God: So what? Do you need to beat yourself up or can we just kick it?

3) Contrary to popular belief God doesn’t use fear to manipulate you into “loving” him.

He hasn’t said “CONFESS YOUR SINS OR IM GOING TO KEEP YOU BURNING ALIVE FOR ALL ETERNITY.”

This theology is a lie from hell.
Literally.

Fear manipulates. Love and manipulation don’t mix.

4) This one might be my all time fave:

Heaven isn’t the treasure hidden in a field that you need to be willing to sell everything in order to obtain.(Matt 13:44)

You are.

You’re the treasure.

Let that sink in.

Here’s the point:
Gods love is ABSOLUTELY all we need.

The problem isn’t that it’s inadequate.

The problem is that His love is better than we were taught that it is.
