For pastors who don’t like the words “brokenness,” pain,” or “trauma,” here are some BIBLE verses to consider:

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. - Psalm 147:3

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. - Matthew 5:4
For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. - Romans 8:22 (sounds painful)

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness (did he just swap sin, wickedness, and evil for weakness??)- Romans 8:26
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? - Romans 8:35 (sounds traumatic)
6 I am weary with my moaning; every night I flood my bed with tears; I drench my couch with my weeping.
7 My eye wastes away because of grief; it grows weak because of all my foes. - (sounds like his foes have caused him some real pain) Psalm 6:6-7
Again I saw all the oppressions that are done under the sun. And behold, the tears of the oppressed, and they had no one to comfort them! On the side of their oppressors there was power, and there was no one to comfort them. - (no not Marx that’s Ecclesiastes 4:1)
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. (Not just wipe away our sin and wickedness??) - Revelation 21:4
