Alright, let's talk abortion and the main arguments against it since so many love Amy Coney Barrett because she might overturn Roe v. Wade. It's late, I'm fired up post-debate, and this will be all over the place. BUT I have sources.

Next, if we're reducing safe access to abortions (because, let's be real, abortions will still happen) then why don't we support the few actions that actually reduce the need for abortions? I.e. But I don't want my tax money going to pay for abortions!" Guess what! It doesn't! But you know what tax money going to planned parenthood does pay for:

-ancer screening
-STD testing

Let's be clear: banning abortions bans them for everyone, even those cases that are "socially acceptable." (I.e. rape and incest.) "They chose to have sex, they should live with the consequences." First, what happened to mercy? Next, women are the caretakers and are often tied to the child with no help from the father

In addition, what about cases where the mother's health is in danger? A woman I know was miscarrying. She desperately wanted the child, but there were genetic defects. She started bleeding out because her body couldn't miscarry. Guess what, her procedure was still an abortion.
"Why not just put the kids up for adoption?" Both the adoption and foster care systems are broken. So many families go to other countries to adopt because the process is so hard and expensive here in the U.S. https://adoption.org/is-adoption-hard
Tl;dr? Abortion is much more nuanced than having a child or not having a child. Banning abortions doesn't stop abortions from happening--it stops access to *safe* abortions which disproportionately affects WOC/poorer communities. The rich can still travel to get access if needed
I have a million more thoughts and articles I could link to, but this thread covers the majority (minus childcare). Ultimately there is "no one size fits all" solution when it comes to abortion. That's why banning abortions DOESN'T WORK and why we should all be pro-choice
