A thread.

Yesterday's #MUWomen was a bad day at the office. But now that I slept on it, if I'm being honest, I'd be reluctant to blame this on Casey. She had to manage her players with one eye on Saturday where we have to travel to London. We lose one day of recovery.
Heath and Press are obv not ready to play full 90min. Granted, they are #USWNT players, famous for their athletism but six months is a long time for an athlete, and at their age, their load needs to be managed. You don't want them to pick up unnecessary injuries.
Defense had a tragic day but let's put it in perspective. Until Okvist, Batlle, Harris are fit, we're going to play Smith, McManus, Millie and Amy Turner every game. We're going to run them to the ground. A scary thought.
Ladd and Groenen are so vital to the midfield, our level dropped after they were taken off. But I have high hope in Staniforth. Despite a shit second half, she was tidy and would be better play alongside Ladd-Groenen.
We created chances, we didn't take it. It's symptomatic to our forwards to either miss their chances, or make inferior decisions to not passing the ball for a better opportunity to score. After a promising three games stint, we reverted to our old ways.
I'm sure players and coaches are hurting too, and they would take a good look at themselves. It's Liverpool, it matters. Still, it's one loss. It happens. They can't dwell on it too long, they have a job on Saturday. I expect a reaction. No excuses. Play our best eleven.
My starting XI vs. Spurs
4-3-3

Kill the game early, and sub in Hanson and Galton later. I wish we have James available.
