Watching Great British Bake Off: The Beginnings because mt friends have now gotten me hooked on this show and new episodes aren't coming out fast enough. I'm annoying the heck out of them in our group chat, so I have taken to Twitter to live tweet!

Reader beware: I am terrible with names and have ridiculous nicknames for all of them. So far I'm very much rooting for Apologetic-Patricia, Two-pan-nan (she made Naan in episode 2 using 2 cook stations), Blackbird Pie, and Brendan (whose name I know because Paige told it to me)

I was very sad to see the person who went home in the first episode go home, because she was my instant favorite and I want to be best friends with her. Also I have a MASSIVE crush on Sue. Ok, I think we're all caught up here, on to episode 3!!

So tart tatin is sort of the tarty cousin of upside-down cake? Eyy, they did that in episode 1, they should be pros by now!! Also, I am still thinking of those fig gruyere bagels from the last episode and dreaming of eating them.

(Two-pan-nan is Manesha, Blackbird Pie is Victoria, Apologetic-Patricia is Sarah Jane.) I quite like James too, but thay could just be because of my son James. But he's cooking with lavender, so that's cool.

Oof. I need a romance hero that looks like Paul Hollywood to look at me with his ice blue eyes and say "So I expect perfection, then." in that sort of quasi-menacing way. Apparently he is a butt so I'm not allowed to have a crush on him, so just a hero that LOOKS like him...?

Oh no, Manesha!! Sweetie. That is a lot of pans of sugar water...
