Pence isn't lying about Biden.

The Democrats feel entitled to the votes of many persons who are disillusioned with them.

They're trying to sell themselves as the lesser evil option, while having the same platform as the Republicans and while mocking progressive policies that social movements push for.

What Trump and Pence are doing is to jokingly claim that Biden and Harris are supporting progressive things like banning fracking and taking a new approach to public safety.

This provokes the Democrats to deny the claim that they have the potential to be progressive, and to distance themselves from the demands that many people have of them. It forces them to be honest about their right-wing stances and alienate potential support.

So while the Republicans have their base consolidated, the Democrats are forced to admit that the Dem candidates and Dem platform are:
- anti-environment
- anti-healthcare
- pro-police
- pro-war

Your reaction to this shouldn't be "omg Pence is lying" - you should be asking yourself why a pro-fracking candidate deserves support.
