I am truly appalled by the decision of Australian creative team for Pippin to cast Kerri-Anne Kennerly in the up-coming production. Kerri-Anne is bigoted, insensitive & has made a lot of awful comments throughout her TV career.

In the past, Kerri-Anne has stereotyped & made insensitive comments about the Aboriginal community and defended a woman who vilified Muslim immigrants in Australia, saying that she wanted Australian citizens to 'feel safe'.

To cast a woman who has made such insensitive and awful remarks is disgusting. These kinds of attitudes have NO PLACE IN THE THEATRE INDUSTRY and by casting Kerri-Anne Kennerly, her platform and voice is being actively amplified. Rant over.
