How does your engineering org get the more senior engineers talking to each other across teams in the same org? Do you make an explicit space for it (like a mailing list, regular meetings), or rely on it happening organically? Are there N^2 regular 1:1s?
High-level engineers often need a space to kick around ideas: can't necessarily go to the CTO / Architect / Whoever with a half-baked thought, but also can't just write up a proposal on their own. Another obvious value proposition is keeping everyone roughly in sync.
I was deliberate in saying "teams in the same org" - it's still important to sync across, I dunno, platform and frontend teams but there's a level between influence-across-all-of-engineering and influence-in-your-own-team that needs support.
