for 100 followers, here are my top 5 hip-hop albums of the year;
(a thread)
#5: Savage Mode II - 21 Savage & Metro Boomin
8.5/10

With the sequel to their original project, both 21 Savage and Metro collab to make some of their best work to date respectively. Top tier production and rapping in their respective discographies. Best trap record of the year.
#4: Spilligion - Spillage Village
8.5/10

Spillage Village has consistently been one of the most underrated rap groups in hip-hop since 2014, but they still manage to create absolutely great albums like this one. Production is amazing and the rap verses are almost all very good.
#3: Miles - Blue & Exile
8.5/10

With one of the most underrated rap duos of all time releasing once again, it's no surprise that there are barely any skips. Each track has great delivery from Blu and fantastic production from Exile, combining for a super enjoyable experience.
#2: King's Disease - Nas
8.5/10

Nas bounces back from his previous two releases that could be seen as hit or miss, delivering one of the best albums for music in general this year. The production is actually great and Nas continues to strengthen his legacy in hip-hop.
#1: RTJ4 - Run The Jewels
9/10

Not only is this my pick for hip-hop album of the year as of this post, but for music in general. One of the greatest rap duos of all time return for the fourth installment of their self titled albums, and this one is just as good, if not better.
