Continuing on with my celebration of #LatinxHeritageMonth through our food, let's now move on to a #Thread on DESSERTS!

Starting the list off with my favorite dessert, QUESITOS!
These scrumptious yums yums are pillowy fluffy pastry dough encasing a sweetened cream cheese mixture.

Next on the list are PASTELILLITOS DE GUAYABA.
These are pretty much clouds of pastry with a delicious creamy guayaba center.
Also, guayaba is the best!

A fun dessert for the holidays is ARROZ CON DULCE.
This is like a rice pudding, but better. It's made with coconut milk and cinnamon and other spices, and it comes out more like a slice of yum yum pie.

Speaking of puddings and the holidays, if you love coconut, you definitely need to try TEMBLEQUE!
Even if you hate coconut, I've had people try my tembleque and then go omg I love coconut!

On the theme of pudding type desserts, we can't forget el FLAN! My favorite is Flan de Queso. SOOO FREAKING GOOD!

Ok the next one on the list is called BUDÍN, which sounds like pudding and looks like bread pudding, but like nah. This is 10x better.

Ok now let's get away from the pudding-like desserts before you think that's all I like. How about al BRAZO GITANO!
But no not just any brazo, this one is guayaba, wrapped in cake, wrapped in pastry dough!

Obvi no list of desserts is complete without the famous BIZCOCHO TRES LECHES!

But before I can really close this list out, here's a picture of DULCES TIPICOS de Puerto Rico.
We have so many yummy candies, from pasta de guayaba, to crema de coco, to ajonjoli, to omg so many yummies!!!

Ok ok, but before I really close this off, here's a picture I took of part of the dessert section of my cousin's panaderia en Puerto Rico.
