1/ In 2012, a group of scientist conducted an experiment to study this effect.

The first group of participants who wore a lab coat 🥼 showed improved attention levels.

A second group was made to worn a painter’s coat 🧥 and did not have a similar effect.
2/ The meaning of the coats had an impact of the experience of the participants.

The lab coat group associated that clothing with higher levels of intelligence and responsibilities.
3/ This applies to other areas as well.

Active wear or gym clothes can boost the likelihood of people making healthy choices.
4/ Brightly colored clothes have shown to improve our mood while more dull colors can create a mellow mood.
5/ One study showed that wearing Luxury brands could even affect political view points.
6/ Casual clothes boosted openness and agreeableness.
7/ Clothing is seen by people as a significant influencer of their own identity.

And, such identity shifts can lead to significant changes in the way we think, feel and behave.
