So here& #39;s what all basically stumbled out of my mouth after my grandma confirmed she hadn& #39;t yet mailed in her ballot when I called and asked today..
"Okay I don& #39;t want it to be awkward and I love and respect you and I know I& #39;m not supposed to talk politics and you& #39;re my grandma and we don& #39;t usually talk adult-to-adult like this but I just have been thinking about you and...
"...I wanted to ask that you vote for Biden and I know you and grandpa are Republican and I respect that and I also know you want what is best for our family and I really think Trump is bad for our family and we need to get him out of the White House...
"... and I just needed to call and say that and I hope that you will think about it and thank you for listening and I love you."
She thanked me for talking to her about it. I& #39;m glad I did and I encourage anyone else having conversations like these with loved ones in your head - like I had been doing for weeks - to go for it with the real deal.
And maybe this is a helpful example of some words you could use? Friends thought so and encouraged me to post. Hope it is helpful and thanks for reading.

27 days, y& #39;all. That& #39;s all we& #39;ve got.
