Negative press attention and ill-thought-out regulatory action has just cut off thousands of UK trans people from their medication: https://twitter.com/GenderGP/status/1313905523335585793

For trans folk in this situation, I recommend making an appointment with your NHS GP immediately to ask about bridging.
NHS GPs are not always willing to provide a bridging prescription, but are much more likely to if you have already begun a course of treatment and can explain how the interruption will negatively affect you. There is advice on GPs and guidance here: https://transhealthuk.noblogs.org/navigating-uk-trans-healthcare/
The Royal College of Psychiatrists' good practice guidelines are very clear that hormone treatment should not be stopped once begun, and that bridging prescriptions are an appropriate tool. Reference this when speaking to GPs. https://transhealthuk.noblogs.org/files/2020/07/RCPsych-CR181-Good-practice-guidelines-for-the-assessment-and-treatment-of-adults-with-gender-dysphoria.pdf
The General Medical Council has more explicit advice for GPs on how to implement the RCP's guidance on bridging prescriptions. You can also refer your GP to this: https://www.gmc-uk.org/ethical-guidance/ethical-hub/trans-healthcare#mental-health-and-bridging-prescriptions
You can also refer your GP to Charing Cross GIC's guidance that "it is important to continue with hormone therapy for gender non-conforming people". https://gic.nhs.uk/gp-support/issues-around-hormone-therapy-due-to-the-coronavirus-situation/

Chalmers GIC also produced this advice on treatment alternatives: https://www.ngicns.scot.nhs.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Hormone-Treatment-Alternatives-Covid-Chalmers-Final-190320.pdf
It is to be hoped that GGP are able to resolve the situation, and also that the regulator understands that its actions are directly endangering trans lives.

For now, share information to support trans people to continue their treatment. THUK has a lot: https://transhealthuk.noblogs.org/navigating-uk-trans-healthcare/
A GP may refuse a bridging prescription: many are reluctant. If you're cut off from treatment, ask your local trans communities about who is a supportive GP, and ask who locally can help continue your medication. There's always someone who can help! We look after each other.
