Probably an extremely controversial take: My favourite thing about the ST is the way they treated Luke.
He was the last jedi. The fate of the Jedi Order was in his hands and he had only himself to rely on. Everything was going well until one of his apprentices
got too close to the Dark Side. Luke planned to kill him in his sleep. As soon as he saw the frightened eyes of his nephew he immediately regreted it, however, it was too late.
After that, he was rightfully disappointed in himself, therefore he went into exile. Later, a young
female Force-sensitive person called Rey (PALPATINE) visited him requiring training in the jedi arts. Eventually, he refused her. He didn& #39;t want to do the same mistake again.
Soon after that, Luke felt her sister Leia in need of his help. He realized that if he doesn& #39;t show up
there on Crait he let& #39;s down the Resistance, the galaxy, her sister and the memory of Han. He had no time to travel there so he had to use the Force, the thing he was so afraid of to turn to after such long time. Him projecting himself exhausted him so much he lost his life to it
His father and his two mentors greeted him in the netherworld.
About a year after that he saw Rey commit the same mistake he had done and regreted it. He redeemed himself as making her realize of what the jedi way is. "Confronting fear, it& #39;s the destiny of a jedi."
Summary: Luke was the only jedi left, had to build the order on his own, made a mistake, couldn& #39;t deal with it but when the day came he realized he is a jedi and what he& #39;s destined to do.
If you say that LuKe WoUlD nEvEr Do ThAt. He& #39;S tHe MoSt HoPeFuL gUy you& #39;re blind.
Do you think a person wouldn& #39;t change in many decades? Especially after such a big change like being left alone to rebuild the jedi order without any help? If you think it wouldn& #39;t change a person at all you& #39;re wrong.
This is the end of the thread. Thank you for reading it.
I& #39;m interested in your thoughts on it. Hopefully I managed to change some people& #39;s mind.
Oh, I forgot to add that it was even foretold by Yoda. "You will be tempted by the Dark Side." "I& #39;m not afraid." "You will be. You...will...be." Yoda& #39;s appearance in TLJ was amazing. He faced Luke what he had done was "the greatest jedi failure".
