First of all, it's called "a response to hyper-activism", which strikes me as ableist
He then goes on to say that calls to cancel an event are not acts of "silencing."
"If anyone at Williams has attempted to marginalize, smear and slander the colleges queer community with the same toxic rhetoric that (R Y E) used to attack who was troubled by their event, I have little doubt the campus would already have been engulfed in an indignant uproar."
It's all so familiar to the current GOP playbook. I tried to warn yall:

here's the op ed I wrote with (redacted), defending our choice to invite jiz lee, prominent queer advocate, sex worker, and sex educator to...speak on sex ed, using funds from a sex ed grant. It's what he's responding to. Also page 2.

Putting this thread here is stopping me from starting some of the pettiest conversations. Though, the people who didn't have my back seem shockingly apathetic about fascism
