Since creating Miiriya I earned about about $350 in donations, & helped bring in more than $60,000 in sales to the black owned businesses in a 4 months. I pay the vendors 100% of their earnings & even pay out of pocket for their credit card/paypal fees, 100% goes to their account
A lot of people asked how I do this, I own 2 successful businesses of my own, and I use them to absorb the costs, help the vendors with financial problems they have. I pay for hosting, maintenance+. I have a goal of making this a community supported app like Wikipedia or PBS--
-without capitalistic tendencies. I havent made a dime from the vendors, & the $300+ I made I used to promote the businesses, used my own money to help them grow if they were having trouble, bought startup tools for some, shipping boxes. Some of my goals: https://twitter.com/miiriya_miiriya/status/1289780708286767104?s=19
Things are going smoothly so far. If anyone wants to help me bring this further, I set up a patreon where people can donate $1 a month, http://patreon.com/miiriya , I believe this type of business should be ran non-capitalistically through community support in a goal they believe in
I'm satisfied with my own personal businesses and don't plan on millionaire/billionaire type lifestyles. extra money from Miiriya projects will be used to help with things I believe should be fixed / added in the community, (read the thread I linked in the third tweet)
