Artists wanting to get an edge on the algorithm: listen up!

Here& #39;s a thread on all the tips I& #39;ve learned about posting art on here!
1. When posting art, keep the wording on the post to a minimum. Twitter thinks it& #39;s a repost and values it more!

If you want to add more info and thoughts, turn it into a thread and add them to the other tweets
2. A maximum of 2 hashtags on the initial post. Else twitter thinks it& #39;s spammy and lowers the value of the post.

Again, if you want to add more, turn the post into a thread and add them in connecting tweets
3. No links on the main post! Again, twitter thinks it& #39;s spammy and makes it more difficult for others to see the post.

But, take a guess as to what you can do? That& #39;s right! Add it into a thread!
I hate the fact that it& #39;s so difficult to figure out the algorithm these days... so I want to help as many people as I can!

If you guys have more helpful tips, comment with them! Let& #39;s help out as many folk as we can!

Dammit, my anxiety got the better of me on my plug xD
Another plug, but this time for the little art discord community I run.

I got some of these tips from the wonderful artists in here testing them on their own posts as well as my own.

4. From @GlimmerGuts

The algorithm also suppresses posts that mention outside revenue sources like patreon. Like links it& #39;s viewed as unpaid advertising and Twitter higher-ups hate that.
5. From @HAUNTSTORY

Try to get the crop to focus on faces in your work. Humans are naturally drawn to faces. You& #39;re more likely to get attention on posts that show a character& #39;s face instead of their legs! Put text and signatures near the face!
6. From @LugiaXawesome

All of my old pieces were characters on black/ transparent backgrounds with dark shading, floating in the void, just make sure the character is clear n visible from a distance and you should be fine!
6. Thank you for this!

While not strictly algorithm related I want to point out that twitter search shows normal words and hashtagged words in searches so putting in ships, characters and any other relevant details can be helpful.
I& #39;m gonna have to mute the thread so that I can sleep without my anxiety getting the better of me xD

But thank you so much for all the amazing support!
